Changed your offers, updated your profile, or added new FAQs? Here's how to get those changes live on your website.
Your schema doesn't update automatically when you make changes in the StructuredAF app. After editing your profile, offers, or FAQs, you'll need to regenerate and redeploy. What happens next depends on whether you're on WordPress or another platform.
Any time the information AI sees about your business should change.
Updated your bio, credentials, job title, or business description.
Added a new service, changed pricing, or removed a programme.
Added new questions, updated answers, or removed outdated ones.
Changed your business name, website URL, or contact information.
You don't need to regenerate for every tiny tweak, but if the information you'd want AI to share about your business has changed, it's worth updating.
How It WorksTwo steps in the app, then one step on your website.
In the StructuredAF app, go to Add to Site and click Generate Schema. Once it's rebuilt, click Deploy. What happens next depends on your platform.
Platform ComparisonThe key difference is whether updates are automatic or manual.
The plugin handles it. You just need to clear the cache.
Go to Add to Site in your StructuredAF dashboard. Click Generate Schema, then Deploy.
In your WordPress admin, go to Settings > StructuredAF and click the Clear Cache button. This tells the plugin to fetch the new version immediately rather than waiting for the cache to expire.
If you don't clear the cache, the plugin will pick up the new schema automatically within one hour.
If you use a caching plugin or your host has built-in caching, clear that too. This ensures visitors (and crawlers) see the freshest version of your pages.
Common caching plugins: If you use WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache, or WP Super Cache, clear the cache through their settings. Managed hosts like Kinsta, WP Engine, and Cloudways have cache clearing in their dashboards. See the WordPress installation guide for platform-specific cache clearing steps.
A quick copy-and-replace in your platform's code area.
Go to Add to Site in your StructuredAF dashboard. Click Generate Schema, then Deploy.
The updated snippet will be displayed on the Add to Site page. Copy the entire block.
Go to your platform's code injection area (the same place you originally pasted it), select all the old code, delete it, and paste the new snippet. Save and publish.
It's the same location you used during initial installation. If you need a refresher, check the guide for your platform: Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Kajabi, Systeme.io, Teachable, or other platforms (Showit, Kartra, Go High Level, Kit, MailerLite, ActiveCampaign).
After updating, visit your website in a browser. Right-click anywhere, select View Page Source, and search for ld+json. Check that the content reflects your latest changes (updated business name, new offer, etc.).
If you're seeing the old schema, double-check that you clicked Deploy (not just Generate), and that any caching on your platform or host has been cleared.
Quick AnswersNot necessarily. If you've corrected a typo in your bio or made a minor wording change, it's up to you. But if you've added a new service, changed pricing, or updated your credentials, you should regenerate so AI has your latest information.
Your schema will be generated but not published. The old version will continue to be served on your website. Just go back to Add to Site and click Deploy when you're ready.
Once the new schema is live on your website, it depends on when AI crawlers next visit your pages. Google typically recrawls within days to weeks. AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude may take longer to reflect changes. The important thing is that the data is there and ready when they do crawl.
The app shows your current generated schema, so you can review it before deploying. If you want to compare with what's currently on your site, use View Page Source on your website and compare the two.
If you're on WordPress, the plugin updates automatically after you deploy. For every other platform, yes, you'll need to replace the old code snippet on each one. The snippet is the same across all platforms, so you only need to copy it once and paste it into each location.
No. Your data lives in your StructuredAF account, not on any platform. Switch platforms, paste the snippet into the new one, and you're set. See our Switching Platforms guide for more details.
